Burning Guide and Tips
- Before lighting, the wick should be trimmed to 3/8” for an even, long-lasting burn. (Please note, all LorLen Candle wicks are trimmed appropriately when purchased but wick maintenance is required before each burn.)
- Place candle on a stable, heat-resistant surface and never burn unattended. Also be certain candles are kept a far distance away from flammable objects.
- Never touch or move a burning candle and keep candles away from children and pets.
- Make sure there is adequate ventilation and avoid drafts to prevent uneven burning, soot and smoke.
- Always create a pool of melted wax across the entire diameter of the candle to avoid unevenness of the wax sometimes referred to as “tunneling.”
- Keep candles free of wick trimmings, matches, or other debris at all times.
- Allow the candle to cool and harden before moving or relighting.
- To extinguish, never use water. Always dip the wick into the melted wax and pull back up. This will eliminate smoking of the wick. (Candle dippers may be purchased to extinguish candles.)
- Discontinue burning a candle when 1/2” of wax remains on the bottom of the container.
Bring your containers back to LorLen’s to refill with your favorite scent! Another great way to recycle.
